North Campus Home to Hospital, Medical Offices

As the name would suggest, North Campus is immediately to the north of the University of New Mexico main campus. It’s home to the North Golf Course as well as a larger residential area. But perhaps the most extensive section of the area is devoted to the UNM Hospital and the surrounding offshoots.

The UNM Hospital has several featured specialties such as the emergency room, pediatrics, and OB-GYN. It’s New Mexico’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, meaning it provides the highest level of trauma care to the most severe patients. Over one million patient visits take place at this hospital as well.

The psychiatric center has 48 inpatient beds and also offers services to adolescents and children.
