Furnace & Heating FAQs

How much should furnace service cost in Albuquerque?

While we can’t give you a single answer to this question, we can tell you our team always provides free estimates and won’t do any work without presenting you with your possible options. Since each repair is different (requiring different parts for repairs needed), there isn’t a flat fee service cost.

Should furnaces be serviced annually?

We absolutely recommend yearly maintenance for your furnace in Albuquerque. Like your car, your furnace requires regular maintenance. When you take care of the furnace at your home or business, you increase the likelihood of it operating for its full lifespan. Proper gas to air ratios, clean parts, and repairing small cracks before they become too big are all a part of furnace maintenance.

Should I replace a 40-year-old furnace in my Albuquerque home?

Unfortunately, furnaces aren’t like cars, where they can leave you on the side of the road a few times before you decide to get a new one. Furnaces tend to just go out all at once. So if you don’t want a lapse in heating coverage, we recommend proactively replacing your furnace when it is nearing the 12-15 year lifespan window. It’s also important to keep in mind that an older furnace can emit carbon monoxide, which at low levels can cause headaches and general feelings of being unwell. Making sure that your furnace is not on its last leg can prevent these milder symptoms, and of course, the more serious ones as well.

Is Bosque Heating, Cooling & Plumbing a local Albuquerque HVAC company?

Yes, we are local. Our co-owner, Carlos Griego, was born and raised in Albuquerque, and our team is made up of many people who have always called Albuquerque home. We take our roll in the Albuquerque community very seriously, finding ways to give back and get involved in the community as much as possible.
