This neighborhood has options for both public and private schools. The neighborhood elementary school in the area is John Baker Elementary School. Their mascot is the tiger, and the story behind their name is quite touching. John Baker was a Manzano High Graduate who went to college on a running scholarship. He competed and had many accomplishments as a college athlete. He then went on to become a teacher at Aspen Elementary School and a running coach in the community. When Baker died an untimely death due to cancer, the students at the school unanimously voted that the school’s name be changed to John Baker Elementary School.

Why would I need to worry about the indoor air quality in a home?

While you aren’t sharing air like you do in an office building or public space, homes can actually be full of potential toxins that seep out of building materials like flooring and paint. This is especially the case in new homes, or if you replace your carpet/flooring/paint. In fact, the air in your home isn’t “pure” unless you take action to make it so. Without any air purification steps, the air outside is much cleaner than the air in your home.

What can I do to improve the air quality in my Academy Acres North home?

For those concerned with the indoor air quality of an Albuquerque home, Bosque Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing has several ways we can help. Ask the team at Bosque about UV lights that improve the air quality of a space, and also the option to install an Ozonator. These machines put a safe percentage of ozone into the air in your home or business to help purify the air.
