SR Marmon Offers a Peek into the Past
SR Marmon is a neighborhood in Northwest Albuquerque close to Ladera Golf Course and Petroglyph National Monument. It’s also easy to get around because it’s close to the interchange of the Coronado Freeway and Highway 45. And if you’re curious about how this neighborhood got its name, it’s named after Susie Rayos Marmon, one of the first Pueblo Indians to get a college education. She became a teacher and stressed the importance of education and multi-cultural experiences in the classroom. Here are some other things worth noting about this neighborhood.

And they take routine vet appointments as well. Aside from cats and dogs, they also treat small mammals, reptiles, and birds. One Google reviewer, Claudia M., shared,
“I called to make an appointment and was able to get in the next day. The woman who answered the phone was very helpful and kind. The female vet assistant that came out to explain the process and to take my sweet girl (cat) in was very knowledgeable.”
