Skies West is Close to Wide Open Spaces
Skies West is one of the northernmost neighborhoods on the west side of Albuquerque. It’s close to Rio Rancho and has several nice parks. It’s also easy to get to Desert Greens Golf Course which has a vintage design and tree-lined fairways. Here are some other hotspots of Skies West.
Best Date Night in Skies West
There are a number of fun, unique places to go in Skies West on a date night or a fun outing with friends or family. One of these places is Kiln It Art Studio —see what they did there? This is a paint-your-own pottery studio that offers pottery painting and other fun art activities like canvas painting, casting, and even the ability to throw your own pottery.
Another great date night location is Marble Tap Room. This is their Westside location (they also have one Downtown and in NE Heights). They have a steady rotation of great food trucks (vegan options too!) and have live music a few nights a week. The flagship brewery was founded in 2008, and they brew over 30 beers that are shipped all over the southwest, so we are lucky to have them local here.
Best Coffee in Skies West
If you want to check out one of the swankiest Starbucks you’ve ever seen, you have to check out the Starbucks in Skies West. The exterior features rusted steel, giving it a rustic, trendy vibe, even though it’s just in a regular shopping center. One Google reviewer, Sarah G., shared,
“This Starbucks team is absolutely superb– always friendly, usually accurate and excellent customer service!”
