Matheson Park is a neighborhood in Northeast Albuquerque that has beautiful mountain views of the Sandia Mountains. It’s not far from the mountains at all, with easy access to hiking and mountain biking. Here are some of the other things you should know about Matheson Park.

The neighborhood’s namesake is, of course, Matheson Park. Matheson Park provides a nice, green swath of land in this mostly residential neighborhood. At the center of it, you’ll find a play structure and two covered pavilions with picnic tables. The fields are large enough for soccer games. And there is also a baseball diamond and two basketball courts at the adjacent Matheson Park Elementary School.
The elementary school is a PreK-5th grade school in the Albuquerque Public Schools system, serving the children and families of the Matheson Park neighborhood.
