Schools in Los Griegos Neighborhood
Los Griegos is home to both an elementary and high school, both in the Albuquerque Public School District. The elementary school is Griegos Elementary School, serving pre-K through 5th grade. On Google, it has a surprising amount of reviews from students that mainly all share that they love the staff and are having a great experience there.
Los Griegos is also home to Valley High School. Valley High School has been the “Pride of the North Valley” for over 50 years, and their mascot is the Vikings. It’s also a magnet school focusing on engineering and computer science, so incoming freshman and sophomores can apply for the program from all over the district, regardless of where they live. The high school also has a nice set of tennis courts that are not just used by students but adult rec leagues as well.

If you’re looking for a place to go swimming with your family, Valley Pool is an excellent place for year-round fun. It’s one of three city pools that is also designed to be used by student-athletes at Valley High School. They offer swim lessons for children in the fall, spring, and summer, and the pool also uses solar power to keep the water warm. They also use the exciting technology of UV to keep the water clean and clear of contaminates.
